SCARBOROUGH SEAFRONT AT DUSK AND DAYTIME

"Scarborough (/ˈskɑːrbrə/ or /ˈskɑːrbərə/)[2][3] is a town on the North Sea coast of North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, the town lies between 10–230 feet (3–70 m) above sea level, rising steeply northward and westward from the harbour onto limestone cliffs. The older part of the town lies around the harbour and is protected by a rocky headland."

A place of wonder in my childhood and to this day a place I find inspiringly beautiful. I wanted to explore the possibility of a pen and ink, watercolour style image whilst using my newly purchased digital drawing tablet. The daytime version of the image is the second of three images produced from the original inkwork with the dusk version being the final of the three. (see "Scarborough Seafront Print" for the first). Although I love the handmade quality of the pen and ink sketch on rough paper I am also excited by the use of digital media to explore a variety of avenues and images from the original work.
